A small studio making big, intentional work.
We're a freelance creative studio working at the intersection of photography and graphic design — based in Western Washington, available for projects anywhere.
Rivalry started where a lot of good studios start — with a frustration. Too many brands looked generic. Too many photographers shot the same shot. Too many designers pulled from the same five templates. We wanted to make work that actually looked like the people it was made for.
Today we work across two crafts — photography and graphic design — that we've found feed each other constantly. A great identity needs strong imagery to live in. A great photo deserves a frame, a layout, a brand around it. Doing both means we can deliver visual coverage that holds together from the first impression to the last touchpoint.
We work with anyone who needs visuals that feel intentional: event organizers, small businesses, athletes, brands, creators, clubs, and the occasional ambitious solo project. Our favorite collaborations are with people who know what they want their work to feel like — and want help getting it there.
The studio is deliberately small. That's not a limitation; it's the point. You work directly with the people doing the work, every project gets focused attention, and decisions move fast. No agency layers, no account managers, no surprise invoices.
Four things that shape everything we make.
Intentional, never generic
Templates are easy. They also look like templates. Every project starts from a blank page so the output actually fits the brand, not the trend.
Fast without sloppy
Speed matters, especially for events and tight launches. We commit to turnaround dates and hit them — but never at the cost of quality.
Transparent pricing
Flat-rate quotes, no surprise fees, no required retainers. You'll know what something costs before we start, and the number doesn't change.
Built for handoff
Every deliverable comes organized, named, and ready to publish. We design as much for the moment after we hit "send" as the moment before.
What we shoot, edit, and design with.
Honest about the kit — because clients ask, and because gear shapes the output.
